He changed the society to unbelievable extent, and is providing respite to the people fond of peace and harmony. He became the role model of large populace including the youth victimized of social evils. He became the support of large group of widows and divorcees, whose saying was no more in the society. He became the hope for thousands of old aged parents, who were thrown out by the disobedient children and were waiting for shelter on the streets despite having palatial house of own. He became the love of everyone.

The His Eminence Hazrat Maulana Muhtaram Fayyaaz Ahmad Zarroo Sahib (Daamat-Barakatuhum) had born before four decades in the City Island of Summer Capital, Baagh-e-Sundar Baala Chattabal, Srinagar Kashmir India

Academics:

After perusing Bachelor’s Degree in Non-Medical from A S College, Srinagar, followed by Advanced Diploma in Information Technology and Expertise in English & Arabic languages, Hazrat completed Bachelors in Islaamic Sciences (Moulvi, Moulvi-Aalim and Moulvi-Faazil) with Distinction from Hanfiyah Arabic College of Islaamic Studies, through Kashmir University, Srinagar.

Specialization:

He has acquired specialization in such branches of knowledge from the Holy Qur’aan, Sunnah and from the Islamic jurisprudence that are closely related to the institution of marriage and its associated issues, naming the Muslim children. He has also academic skills in reforming social disorder peacefully.

The respected scholar has strong hold on Kashmiri, Arabic, English & Urdu languages.

Participations:

Hazrat Maulana Muhtaram Fayyaaz Ahmad Zarroo Sahib (Daamat-Barakatuhum) has participated in many national and international academic seminars and scholarly conferences organized by Islaamic Fiqh Academy of India (IFA), All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB), Jamiat-e-Ulamaa-e-Hind, the University of Kashmir, and in various degree colleges across the valley. Recently, Hazrat gave extensive lectures in Kashmir University to Professors of various colleges and universities of various states.

Pearl of India:

India’s one of the leading magazine “The Week” honored Hazrat Maulana Muhtaram Fayyaaz Ahmad Zarroo Sahib (Daamat-Barakatuhum) with the title of “Pearl of India” on 25.12.2011. They have selected him among those 30 pearls of India, who changed the history within their surroundings. The said scholar was honored on the remarkable job of fighting against extravagant marriages.

Revolutionary Mission:

Getting restless by the extravagant marriages and found it as a main cause of social evils, which are increasing at metro speed, covering miles of distance in a minute, towards social disaster, creating cracks in our social infrastructure and spotted our social fabric by corruption, bribery, adulteration, inflation, robbery, murder, drug addiction, alcoholism, kidnapping, eve-teasing, pre-marital affairs, illegal marriages, abortions, rapes, suicides, venereal diseases etc.

On one fine day of Sunday afternoon 03 July 2005, Hazrat Maulana Muhtaram Fayyaaz Ahmad Zarroo Sahib (Daamat-Barakatuhum) Sahib inaugurated Humsafar Marriage Counselling Cell (HMCC), which embraced the victims with soft tone sacred voice, called the people!

Under his austere dynamic leadership; Humsafar Marriage Counselling Cell touched its zenith, propagated its message across the borders, beyond the oceans and to the mountains. Its signals have crossed every layer of space, thus knocked every door of the state.

From July-2005 to December-2022, the HMCC have performed more than 60,000 marriages in a simple & austere mode, which costs only from Rs 1200/- to the maximum of Rs 5,000/- only plus Mehar (Dower). More than 70,000 candidates are registered with HMCC for performing austere & simple marriage upto 31.12.2022. Not only Kashmir valley, but also the people from other parts of India as well as from abroad have registered their sons & daughters, relatives with the HMCC for solemnizing simple & austere marriages.

Hazrat Maulana Muhtaram Fayyaaz Ahmad Zarroo Sahib (Daamat-Barakatuhum) has received global appraisals for the sacred mission of simple, economical, and austere marriages from politicians, bureaucrats, professors, doctors, lawyers, engineers, professionals, technocrats and other civil society members.

Electronic media provided its full support to flourish this mission of austere and economical marriages including Aaj-Tak , CNN , IBN7 , BBC , DD-National , E-TV ; and from print media it is: The National (Gulf Based News paper), Sahara Magazine , Indian Express , Times of India , Hindustan Times , Conveyor Magazine , Outlook , The week, Greater Kashmir , Kashmir-e-Uzma , Aftab , Srinagar Times,  Rising Kashmir, Ta’meel-Irshaad, etc.

Social Reform:

Hazrat Maulana Muhtaram Fayyaaz Ahmad Zarroo Sahib (Daamat-Barakatuhum) has also brought social awareness within the society by launching Socio-Reformatory program on the primary channel of Radio Kashmir Srinagar, every Friday at 8:30 am, and educated the people about various social & spiritual issues viz. Persuading people o shun wasting money on pomp and show and on all forms of luxury, workable solutions for the joint family issues, soothing advice to the childless spouses, disaster of extravagance, rights of the parents, widows, children, orphans and the spouses to one another, expressing joy on the birth of a girl-child, serious consequences of domestic violence and undue divorces, peaceful solutions for property settlement issues, legitimate use of gifts, satisfactory solutions for post-marital disputes, premises entry ethics, rights of privacy, harmful consequences of backbiting, jealousy, slander and libel, greeting etiquette, devising ways to promote peace and harmony in the society, the merits & demerits of mobile phone, how to prevent drug trafficking and drug abuse, etc.
